Sweater Weather.

The colours and smells of autumn are among my absolute favorites in RL...and I absolutely adore seeing what creative sim owners do with their landscaping for SL. 

The events are fun too!! The Seasons Story is still going on strong, and you can find my hair, sweater and shoes from this great quarterly event, going on until the end of the month. I'm such a huge fan of high ponytails, it's the primary way that I wear my hair in RL(because its so long and unmanageable), so I was so happy to see that Besom released a high pony! Muka's sweater is so adorable, and it's just long enough that you could wear it as a sweater dress, or pair it with a cute pair of jeans like I did here..I do want to note that I am wearing the Maitreya size of the Blueberry jeans for this photo only, if you want to wear this look outside of a photo, I would suggest wearing a smaller size pant OR a larger shirt if you've got a big booty like me, because the butt pokes through in the back. :D

Reign's boots made me so happy when I saw them!! I love and adore my heels, and generally will not be seen in public in any setting without them, but I adore these slip-on boots!! The fringe is perfect, and the colours are wonderful for autumn!!

I'm trying to spend more time with my family in SL, because this year has been sort of tough on me...I've had a lot of shake-ups and it's caused me to pull away from a lot of people, and also to tighten my circle back up again. It's how I cope with betrayals and healing from heartaches, and I've had a lot of them this year. Side note...I can't wait til I'm 30.
So with all that being said, it's really hard for new people to get to know me, but I've known this girl right here for...wow, about three years now. She is my niece Rea's forever daughter, and she is the creative mind behind some of my favorite poses on the grid. Naomi's been content creating in SL for as long as I've known her, and I am super proud of her and her accomplishments. GlamRus has become a grid-known name, and she has grown so much. She was suffering from boredom and a case of not wanting to do anything a few nights ago, so I told her to put something autumn-y on and come pose with me. It accomplished two things for me...getting a picture of us together, and being able to show off this cute pose. A big chunk of her autumn collection has rezzable leaves that you can modify and move around, just to fit in with the look you're going for...keep an eye out for them! <3

Hello, dollies!!! 

It's September 1st(well, the 2nd as I type this, but still the 1st in SLT), which means it's almost autumn, it's the season of Pumpkin Spice everything, and most important of all -- The Arcade!! I'm sure Kai and I will both be bringing you so much good stuff from this round...the designers have really stepped up their games, and there's just so much to see and buy!

Everyone who knows me even a little bit knows how much I adore cats. It's been a life-long love, from the time I was a little bitty girl. I love most dogs too, but cats are the animal loves of my life. So when I got a look at what Pixicat had coming out for the Arcade, I knew that I had to have all of the things! Hairless cats are the cutest ever, the dresses and jackets are on point(and there are sizes of both made for the Maitreya and Slink mesh bodies), and the chair...goodness, the chair. I just can't even with the amount of cute! Pixicat's been bringing their A-game for the last year, so I'm happy to see that they're continuing to do such a great job.
I was just messing around this morning before I went to bed, and I positioned my cats around me while I sat in the chair...and all of a sudden I got to thinking about Game of Thrones and Danerys being the Mother of Dragons...so I decided to be silly and rez some of my winged cats from Half Deer and snapped a couple pictures. I didn't plan on blogging this at first, but it was too fun to pass up.

LOTD #012 - A night on the town.

Hello again lovelies, and happy Independence Day to all my fellow Americans!

I'm just popping in here real quick to show off some cute newness from Cynful and Moda! 

I am happy to welcome Cynful back as a continuous presence here at Dolly Fabulosity...I've been in love with the stuff that this awesome store pumps out since 2010, and I'm very excited to be able to once again start sharing all of the body-friendly goodies that the talented team of ladies bring to the table, especially for those of us who rock the various mesh bodies! 

The Chainbelt dress hit the sales floor at The Dressing Room Fusion on the 2nd, and will be available there in three exclusive colors for the next two weeks, for 70L each! This dress comes in a whopping 12 different sizes(5 standard, 2 Phatazz, 2 Cuteazz, 1 size for Belleza Venus, an experimental Maitreya Lara size, and 1 size for Slink Physique), which shows how versatile this clothing store really is. The other colors are just as adorable as this black and teal number, trust me!

I had to bust out a cute pair of heels for this dress and run out the door to meet my friends for a party, so I grabbed up this recent release from Moda Designs! Eon did a revamp of her texture HUD and also added an additional six more custom textures for her customers! These shoes are available in sizes for your Slink feet and for the TMP Ouch feet. There are seven different faces on this shoe that can be textured, in 30 different colors...so the color combination possibilities for these adorable shoes are pretty much endless!

Time for a ROMP...

So sorry it's been quiet from me...stumbling into an unexpected but very pleasant new relationship tends to distract a girl...and I feel like I earned it!

Blogger packs for the Indulgence Fair have been starting to roll in, as designers get ready to set up shop and get ready for this fun event, and one of the designers is a new-to-me designer, Tempting Elegance. Angie Trefusis has been designing collars and other types of D/s friendly jewelry sets since 2010, so she's got quite a bit of experience in knowing who to cater to. She thoroughly impressed me with one of her releases, the Teardrop set...it comes jam-packed with a neck collar, a necklace, earrings, wrist and ankle cuffs, a ring(left handed and right handed, even!), and an appearance HUD...the great thing about this is that all of the jewelry(minus the earrings) come in versions that are unscripted and that have OpenCollar scripts in them, so you have multiple collar options!
I enjoy being able to wear blatantly obvious collars sometimes, especially when I'm DJing an event at the local leather bar...but I also like having the option to wear a collar that doesn't look obvious, and that's what the necklace collar shown here is...it's quite dainty and pretty, and definitely something that I would wear dressed up or dressed down.

This round of Kustom9 is upon us, and with that comes a new release from Glamistry!! The cat-eye sunglasses perched on top of my head are available at this monthly event, along with a gorgeous set of heels. Le squeal, all of this makes for a happy Caiti!

Again, Tempting Elegance has impressed me with this release...the bracelets and anklets are scripted cuffs! I normally wouldn't wear cuffs day-to-day as they're bulky and quite obvious what they are, but these lovely little beauties are perfect.

LOTD #010: Rezday Edition!

Hi lovelies!!

This past weekend, I celebrated 6 years in SL...which is amazing for me, given the fact that when I first started SL, I logged in once, then didn't log in again for three months after, because it was boring...little did I know that there was a big big world outside of the one little sandbox that my friends never left.
In six years I have found love, experienced incredible heartache, had some amazing friends come into my life and stick around...I got to witness the birth of Zindra and of mesh, which I thought wouldn't be a popular thing...I saw the death of the legacy names(and I automatically judge you if your last name is Resident, sorrynotreally), the fall of Stiletto Moody, the creation of the Emerald Viewer then later Phoenix and Firestorm...and all I can say is...I can't wait to see what's coming in the future.

So anyway...my rezday party wasn't really an official thing, I just went to the weekly Friday party over at Boystown. One of my friends told me that he wanted me in club-wear, in a short pencil skirt and a crop top, and some amazing shoes...so I dug around in my closet and found this great shirt from Tee*fy, and this sexy leather skirt from Maitreya. For jewelry, I was really feeling like wearing some gold, and I wanted a statement piece, so I picked this necklace set up from Mandala. I'm not much for wearing gold in SL or RL, as I'm allergic to it in RL, but sometimes I get in that mood, and Mandala is one of my favorite jewelry stores. My bracelets are from Maxi Gossamer, and they are definitely one of my go-to sets. I swear I wear these bracelets almost daily, and many of my blog posts feature them in silver :D

So I had the outfit and the jewelry, all I needed were the shoes. Lucky for me, Eon of Moda Designs has been on a platform heel kick lately, and I saw these lovelies, and knew that they were the ones. Eon loves to give her customers variety at affordable prices, and these shoes are no exception...they come in 24 different colors, and color change in five different sections, plus two metal change options...all for 299L! 

So after I dressed myself up, I went out, partied it up with some amazing friends, and had a wonderful weekend. It was everything I wanted and then some, and it makes me look forward to the next six years of my SL with a smile on my face.

Beachy Days...

Hello, darlings!

I was starting to feel a little bit stressed out with life in general, so I decided to take a mini vacation from nearly all things work related. I hope you've missed me!

During my mini vacation, I decided to go to the beach for a couple days. I'm not really that much of a beachy person in RL or SL, but something about the sand and surf and just being outdoors near the water pleases me greatly, so I decided to drag my dearest Callum along to the beach. We had a nice time together, just laughing and talking about things, with him being so busy with his community sims and me being busy with DJing and the like, we've hardly had any time to catch up with eachother it seems. But that's one of the things I love about my Brit, we've been friends for nearly six years now, and it doesn't matter how much  time goes by between IMs or Facebook messages, it always feels like we just spoke hours before.

So while I've been enjoying a mini vacation, I decided to go shopping! I don't do this nearly as much as before, simply because I can't afford it at the moment(I have to choose between shopping and paying my tier, oh the joys of owning land in SL), buuut I wanted to skip over to FaMESHed for their 3rd anniversary round!! There are soo many awesome things out by such talented content creators, and a bonus is that there are free gifts to celebrate 3 years of FaMESHed!! I remember when this event first started, and how small it was, I'm so happy to see how big it's become and how popular it is.

So anyway, this dress was released by Valentina E at FaMESHed, and it's got such a great nautical theme that I decided to go BACK to the beach and take some pictures! I decided to go with a little bit of a retro nod with my hair, so I dug out my favorite Clawtooth hair, and paired it with a longtime favorite pair of shoes from fri.day! It kind of gives me the look I was going for :)

The sunglasses are new from Reign at this month's round of Uber, they are a wearable item that comes included in the mesh tote that was released! They're so perfect, I don't think I'm ever going to take them off. Luckily they are color-change, so I won't have to take them off for much of anything! :D

90's Realness.

Hello, my lovelies!!

I've been sitting on some fantastic things over the weekend, and I've been waiting to bring all this awesome realness to you...I've just been waiting on some shady queens to get dressed and be online with me at the same time. (loveyouboth)

So...without further ado...just take a look at our shoes and my backpacks!!! They're all brand new releases from Avinci Designs, the new project started by Al Dufaux...these shoes are just so amazing! And I'm usually not really the type of girl to wear bags, but I just couldn't resist these. The shoes and bags put me in a 90s mood, so I grabbed my husbands and made them get flannel'ed out. I think Zann hates me a little bit for it, but whatever.

I needed some inspiration for my own outfit, and I think I flipped through about six different outfits before I remembered this month's round of Collabor88...so I rushed over and snatched up all of the things!!

What's Your Digits?

I seem to be making a habit of doing Strawberry Singh's Monday Memes on early Tuesday mornings, so I figured...why break the tradition?  Anyway, this one is super fun and a rehash of a meme that she did before(also, this was my very first one that I participated in, you can find it here)...the What's Your Digits challenge! This one's been revamped some, due to the mesh body craze...but here we go!

1. Do you currently own a mesh body? If so, do you wear it all the time or just once in a while? If not, skip to the fourth question. I own two mesh bodies: Belleza's Venus body and the Maitreya Lara body :D I haven't taken my mesh body off since I bought the Maitreya body.

2. What is your preferred mesh body available on the market right now? I absolutely adore the Maitreya body. I purchased the Belleza body before the Maitreya body was released, and I think I've worn it all of four times since I bought it...I haven't taken my Maitreya body off since I purchased it except for when I clean my inventory up.

3. Have you changed your shape since you started wearing the body? I made some slight changes, yes. Caiti has been a short, curvy girl for years in SL, but I was never able to push the sliders of my body around and give her the full hips, butt, belly and breasts that I wanted her to have. With the mesh body, I am able to give her the thick thighs that I have wanted her to have for years, but was never really able to do, due to the constraints of the default avatar. I can't stop looking at her anymore!! 

4. How do you feel about mesh bodies in general? I adore some of them. I am in love with the Lara body, and I love Belleza's body as well, because they are soooo user-friendly and you can really customize your body and not look like everyone else. I am personally not fond of The Mesh Project bodies, only because I hear horror stories and stories of frustration from the men and women who own the bodies, it just sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth to own their body.

From a photography standpoint, I am in love with the bodies too, because it cuts down a lot of time that I'd previously have to spend in Photoshop liquifying the jagged edges and sharp corners that would come from poses, or smooth out the curve of a breast or hip. 

5. What is one thing you would request from designers when it comes to mesh  bodies?  Well, I haven't really had many complaints at all, so I'll echo what Strawberry Singh said in her post: A universal applier HUD please!! :D
